Community Consultation to be held on new Stirches Solar and Battery Development

HAWICK, OCTOBER 2024 – ib vogt UK, a leading global developer of renewable projects, is holding the first community consultation for a proposed solar and battery farm in Hawick on 07 November.

Stirches Renewable Energy Park will comprise 30MW solar generation (PV) and 30MW battery storage import (BESS), generating 60k MWh to provide clean, green energy for thousands of homes across Scotland. Located near Stirches Mains Farm House (TD9 7NR), the solar development will support the Scottish Government’s targets for renewable energy and solar generation, contributing to net-zero targets of 2045.

ib vogt UK, a trusted, experienced developer of solar and battery projects, will hold one of two public consultation for Stirches Renewable Energy Park on 07 November between 3pm – 7pm at Hawick Town Hall.

With a strong track record of delivering renewable projects in a timely, sensitive manner, ib vogt UK is inviting the local community to view the proposal plans and share their thoughts on Stirches Renewable Energy Park.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view the project timeline, review the site location and hear more about the community benefit fund that will be made available to local residents following the project’s completion.

A second public consultation for Stirches Renewable Energy Park will be held in early 2025.
